Rep. Maldonado To Host Veterans Open House

June 17th, 2010 — Office of Rep. Diana Maldonado

State Representative Diana Maldonado will host a Veterans Benefits Workshop in Round Rock to provide information and assistance to veterans and their families about programs and opportunities that are available to them. This free workshop will bring together state agencies and organizations who work on veterans issues ranging from employment, education, housing and health care.

“The dedicated service of our veterans and their families is honorable and this workshop will be a useful opportunity for local veterans to learn about the benefits available to them by the State of Texas,” said Rep. Maldonado. “During my visits to Ft. Hood and Camp Mabry, it was important for me to talk with the men and women in the service and learn their thoughts on how our state can be helpful both while they are home and abroad. I believe this workshop will be a useful resource for veterans and their families as they look into returning to school, purchasing a home or anything or finding a job.”
