This week, Diana addressed the Hutto Economic Development Corporation (EDC) ‘Power Breakfast’.
On the second Thursday of every month, the Hutto EDC hosts Hutto community leaders from government, education, and business for an informal update of community activities and networking.
State Representative Diana Maldonado will host a Veterans Benefits Workshop in Round Rock to provide information and assistance to veterans and their families about programs and opportunities that are available to them. This free workshop will bring together state agencies and organizations who work on veterans issues ranging from employment, education, housing and health care.
“The dedicated service of our veterans and their families is honorable and this workshop will be a useful opportunity for local veterans to learn about the benefits available to them by the State of Texas,” said Rep. Maldonado. “During my visits to Ft. Hood and Camp Mabry, it was important for me to talk with the men and women in the service and learn their thoughts on how our state can be helpful both while they are home and abroad. State Representative Diana Maldonado (HD-52) received two legislative awards from Texas retired teachers during a Friday luncheon hosted by the Williamson County Retired Teachers Association. The two awards were presented to Maldonado in recognition of her dedication and service to retired teachers during the 81st Legislative Session.
“I know first-hand the importance of sufficiently paying our teachers while they are in the classroom and once they have retired,” said Rep. Maldonado. “Teachers are the front lines of providing our students with a quality education and learning experience, and it is truly an honor to receive this recognition from the Williamson County and the District XIII Retired Teachers Associations.
